CASPER - Funeral services for Bert Kelly Jr., 79, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. His nephew, Pastor Guy Kelly of Windsor Hills Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, Okla., will officiate.

He died July 17, 2005, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

A native of Casper, he was born June 17, 1926, to Bert Sr. and Anna (Jackson) Kelly, and was raised here and educated in Natrona County's school system.

On May 5, 1947, he married Frances Snow.

His interests included hunting, fishing and rodeos. He was known for bartending all over town throughout his life and just recently retired from the Lounge on Second Street. He was a member of the VFW.

Survivors include his sons, James M. Kelly and Charles Kelly, both of Casper; a brother, Dan Kelly of Casper; five sisters, Norma Cloutier of Hawaii, Martha Lijewski and Peg Wood, both of Casper, Thelma Gordon of Shoshoni, and Pat Wood of Edgerton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances; a son, Bert Allen; sisters Lucille Kelly, Minnie Kelly, and Zella Clark; and brothers Gus, George and Billy Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Blue Envelope Health Fund, 1430 Wilkins Circle, Casper, WY 82601, or can be left with Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory, which is in charge of arrangements.
