JACKSON - Funeral services for Maxine Bressler Jacobson, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Valley Mortuary in Jackson. Interment will be in Jackson Aspen Cemetery.

She died July 17, 2005, in Ogden, Utah.

Born Dec. 20, 1923, in Ashton, Idaho, to Lyle and Lucille Mikesell Bressler, her early childhood was spent in Ashton and Victor, Idaho. In 1933 her family moved to Moose.

On July 6, 1942, she married Lester Grant Jacobson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They raised their family in Moran, Jackson and South Park. Upon their retirement, they moved to Freedom and later to St. George, Utah. Her husband preceded her in death May 26, 2005.

She was the owner/operator of the Fabric Center in Jackson.

She was a member of the Cowbelles and Eastern Star, a 4-H leader and postmistress. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and a great supporter of women's softball in Jackson. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, hiking and cross-country skiing, but most of all supporting and being with her family. She was also a stable support for Lester's ranching career.

Survivors include four daughters, Irene Nethercott of Ogden, Louise Mohr of Defiance, Ohio, Janice Willits of Kalispell, Mont., and Denise Higginson of Kemmerer, and their husbands; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Roy Bressler of Round Rock, Texas, Robert Bressler and his wife of Mesa, Ariz., Jack Bressler of St. George and Dell Bressler and his wife of Red Bluff, Calif.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Don and Vern Bressler; and a sister, Mae Luscher.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 845 E. 4800 South, Murray, Utah, 84107.
