CASPER - Funeral services for Peter Henderson, 73, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville with Chaplain Leonard Robinson officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Natrona County United Veterans Council.

Visitation will take place today, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Bustard's Funeral Home.

He died July 15, 2005, at his home in Bar Nunn.

Born March 6, 1932, in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada, he was the son of William and Maude (Skiles) Henderson. He was raised in Midwest and Lander.

As a young man he was employed by the TTT Ranch near Kaycee. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. From 1955 to 1966 he was employed by Olds dealerships in Riverton and Casper, and in July 1966 he joined the Local Pipefitters Union 193. He worked for Foster-Wheeler Energy Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1995.

On Nov. 17, 1956, he married Shirley Rodeman of LaGrange in Thermopolis, and they made their home in Casper.

He loved spending time with family and friends and was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 193 in Casper.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years; one son, Dale Henderson and his wife of Bar Nunn; two daughters, Lynn Wilson and her husband of Casper and Karen Horning of Douglas; a brother, Dave Henderson of Cortez, Colo.; one sister, Doris Belt of Cortez; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William and Donald Henderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Central Wyoming Hospice Program, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, 82601.
