The Natrona County Commission will vote whether to accept the new lease for trailer owners who lease spaces at the Alcova Trailer Park, at its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the County Annex, 120 W. First St.

Many trailer owners have objected to the draft lease, saying language in it could cause them to lose money when they want to sell their trailers after they decide not to renew their lease.

Trailer owners want the ability to rescind the termination of their lease if they cannot get a fair price for their trailer, they have said.

However, most commissioners have responded the draft lease is fair and conforms to the requirements of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, which owns the lake and the land surrounding it.

Last week at a work session, commissioners said they already had conducted public hearings on the lease and they would not conduct one for today's discussion and vote.

However, members of the public are welcome to comment at the end of the meeting during a regularly scheduled comment period, they said.

During the comment period, the cofounder of a new, primarily men's, anti-domestic violence organization will ask the commissioners for a resolution supporting its work.

Jim Ripley with Don'tTouch.Us is planning a men's march next month, he said.
