I was fortunate enough to see Michelle Obama (and Caroline Kennedy and Maria Shriver and Oprah and Stevie Wonder) at Pauley Pavillion @UCLA. If you have any questions about how early to get there let me encourage you...E-A-R-L-Y. I arrived at UCLA the night before so that I could be first in line. Folks started lining up at 5AM and the doors werent opening till 11AM. We stood outside in the rain and cold, on Superbowl Sunday for 6 hours. By the time doors opened, there were 12,000 people in line and we had only found out where the event would be 24hours beforehand.
It was AWESOME. I have never been a political person. I have never attended a rally or given money to a campaign in my life. I stood right there in front of the podium and I cried..the whole time. Lots of people did. I was moved. I was inspired...I was changed. For the first time in my LIFE, I began to ask myself what I can do FOR my country. I want to live in the kind of Country Barack Obama believes we are capable of having. Im an evangelical independent who will cast her vote for Obama in 2008. Yes WE Can. "

I've been watching candidates on both sides of the aisle carefully since the Dems made advances in Fall 2006, and of them all, the most truthful have all been fringe and with no chance of winning (e.g. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich) - except Obama and to a lesser extent McCain.
If you think Obama is anything but a pragmatic visionary then you're a victim of spin. Do your homework -- our beloved country is majority rule and I don't want to be your collateral damage. "

Senator Clinton is Clearly the stronger, smarter candidate to get this country back on track.
Senator Obama talks about Change, Hope and turning the page of Old Washington, yet surrounds himself with the Old political good 'ol boys. I listen and watch and I still can't tell you "why" he would be my choice. He talks,,,,and then talks some more. We certainly don't need a talker, we need a doer!
My state votes after Wyoming....I Hope, that Hillary will win your state as I am confident she will win PA.
We need Help, as much as Hope,,,and with Help comes Hope.
hmm, and imagine a woman in the WH...it just might finally end misogny! wow, wouldn't that be a nice extra benefit for young women!
Go Hillary! "

Obama is a uniter and will be the only candidate who can get both parties to have a working majority in D.C. Hillary is fighting her own party, do you really think Republicans will listen to her?
Taxpayers cannot afford ANOTHER Clinton administration with scandals, impeachments and secrets.
There is totally a reason she is not releasing her tax returns. She might as well do it now because she will get CREAMED BY REPUBLICANS later! "

It was first a tabloid article that caught my eye about Sen. Obama's campaign workers people handling skills.
An old Punahou HS school mate had just been released from prison & contacted the camapign for assistance, and the volunteers assumed that here was a hard-luck case looking for a handout. He was just trying to touch base with a former basketball team player from HS. The campaign directed this Afraican American AJA to social service agencies in California and kept him from actually talking to Sen. Obama.
Maybe this is good handling of potentaily nuisance blast from the past, but it left a bad taste in my recollection. Follow this up with reports of his supporters telling Canadians that Sen. Obama is not going to do anything to change NAFTA, this after accusing Sen. Clinton's past. It caught on in Ohio and it might catch on in Pennsylvania.
By-the-way, keeping Fluoride out of our drinking water as made into a C & C of Honolulu Ordinance several years ago.
Have a great caucus this Saturday from noon-7 PM. In our caucus in Nuuanu alone we had over 1,000 voters, and in Dallas, on caucus site stayed open till 4 AM, and was a hysterical situation, so much so that Dallas P.D. was called in to keep people from blocking the exits. One precinct worker took her voter registers and completed ballots home and when the County Chair was informed, a car chase was engaged. She must have been on her way to turn in the register and the ballots to the District/Region Chair, right?

He is the best thing that could happen to this country.
Do away with the polilics of personal destruction that gets us no where but allows the pols to line their pockets and amass power.
He is about the people and making this country proud again.
Millions of people are getting involved again and caring about their country because of Obama.
If he is not the nominee think of all the people who will stay away and not vote. He has stirred pride in the country and politics again. "

It was, in this reporter's opinion, the most interesting moment in today's Clinton campaign phoner with reporters. Responding to the release of HRC's new TX TV ad, which asserts in no subtle terms that only she has the experience to deal with a major world crisis, and, relatedly, to keep your children safe, Slate's John Dickerson asked the obvious question: "What foreign policy moment would you point to in Hillary's career where she's been tested by crisis?" he said. Silence on the call. You could've knit a sweater in the time it took the usually verbose team of Mark Penn, Howard Wolfson and Lee Feinstein, Clinton's national security director, to find a cogent answer. And what they came up with was weak -- that she's been endorsed by many high ranking members of the uniformed military. Take a listen... http://hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com/archives/2008/02/pregnant_pause.html "

She is now praising McCain -- how helpful is that to the party?
Come to find out SHE is the one who approached Canada about NAFTA.
The list goes on and on and on...
PLEASE, good people of WI: VOTE RESPONSIBLY. We cannot afford politics as usual any longer. "
