n BIG HORN 33, NORMATIVE SERVICES 0: At Sheridan on Thursday, the 2A Rams held the 1A Wolves to minus-83 yards rushing and overwhelmed their opponents in the easy victory.

Matt Metzger started the game right for Big Horn (1-0), running the opening kick back 78 yards for a touchdown. He finished with 70 yards rushing, all in the first half.

The Rams stacked up the Wolves (0-1) on defense, tallying 10 sacks on NSI quarterback Rocky Villa. Big Horn gained 13 first downs and 261 yards of total offense and held NSI to minus-43 yards and only one first down.

"A win is a win," Big Horn coach Bert Dow said. "Overall we were a little sloppy but overall, I'm happy."

n SARATOGA 58, HANNA 6: At Hanna on Thursday, Sam Gates scored three rushing touchdowns and added a 65-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the 2A Panthers blasted the 1A Miners.

Gates scored on runs of 5, 1 and 14 yards for Saratoga (1-1). He finished with 8 carries for 132 yards.

Hayden Davidson added scoring runs of 12 and 45 yards and finished with 68 yards on the ground. Adam Hinz scored twice on defense, both on fumble recoveries, and Max Doebele scored on a 12-yard run.

The Saratoga defense also had a safety. The Panthers led 23-0 after the first quarter and 43-0 at halftime, and finished with 41 carries for 367 yards on offense.

Emmett Vallot scored the only touchdown for Hanna (0-1) on a 70-yard fumble recovery.
