Langford leads UW to rout of Metro State

LARAMIE -- Wyoming freshman Emma Langford scored a game-high 21 points as the Cowgirls closed out their exhibition season with a 79-49 victory over Metro State on Friday.

UW shot 54.2 percent from the 3-point line as Langford (3-for-3), Elisabeth Dissen (3-for-3) and Lovell's Kristen Scheffler (3-for-7) combined to go 9-for-13 behind the arc. Dissen added 14 points and Scheffler added nine off the bench.

Rebecca Vanderjagt had nine points and seven rebounds for UW.

The Cowgirls open the regular season on Nov. 14 when they host Denver at 7 p.m.
