* FRANC D'AMBROSIO
Best known for his role in the stage version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" opera singer Franc D'Abrosio is one of a handful of "Phantom" alumni to crossover from theater to a flourishing solo career.
D'Ambrosio studied at the famed Vocal Academy at Lucca, Italy, and with legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti at his home in Pesaro. He debuted in the first revival of "Sweeney Todd" and was cast by film director Francis Ford Coppola in The Godfather Part III as the opera-singing son, Anthony Corleone. He sung the film's Academy Award-winning theme song, "Speak Softly Love" on the original motion picture soundtrack. He then landed the role in "Phantom" and performed in more than 3,000 performances, including a national tour and San Francisco run of over five years. He also starred as the male lead in the pre-Broadway tour of Barry Manilow's "Copacabana," a performance that earned a nomination for the National Theatre Award as Best Male Performer.

* THE CANTRELLS
National Public Radio favorites Al and Emily Cantrell are said to weave music and lyrics in such a dazzling way it seems they are locked in a passionate dance where each knows the other so well they have no question where they're going. Emily uses her voice like an instrument, much like Joni Mitchell, while Al's fiddle and mandolin twist around her vivid soprano. The duo puts a pop spin on acoustic folk and bluegrass music, while also tackling Celtic, Western swing and traditional American tunes.
The Cantrells were hand-picked by Robert Redford to play oldtime music on screen in his hit movie, "A River Runs Through It." They met in Colorado and moved to Nashville to be a part of the bluegrass scene there.

* BUCKCHERRY and AVENGED SEVENFOLD
The Casper Events Center announces that hard-rocking California band, Buckcherry, and genre-bending quintet, Avenged Sevenfold, are coming to Casper. Saving Abel will open.
Buckcherry's 2006 Grammy nominated album "15" boosted the band's confidence and inspired them to elevate its game for recent release, "Black Butterfly."
"I think the challenge for us has been just to get back to the headspace we were in three years ago, when it was us against the world and we had to make the record of our lives. I think that's exactly where we're at," said guitarist Keith Nelson in a press release.
Avenged Sevenfold has been called a band of virtuosos in a time when being an accomplished musician means little, a press release said. They are inquisitive and never quite satisfied with their own work, striving always to be better.
