CHEYENNE - Wyoming residents woke up Monday morning to bitter cold temperatures.
The National Weather Service recorded below zero readings overnight throughout much of the state.
The coldest spot was at Shell and Ten Sleep in northern Wyoming where the thermometer dipped to 27 below.
Gillette, Greybull and Worland each recorded low temperatures of 21 below.
Casper and Buffalo dropped to 20 below.
Other readings included 18 below at Sheridan and Torrington, 16 below at Riverton, 15 below at Laramie, 13 below at Cheyenne and Big Piney, and 12 below at Lander.
Evanston in southwest Wyoming was a balmy 2 degrees overnight.
