Trout fishing has slowed down considerably on the Gray Reef of the North Platte River. The water is very mossy below the dam so fly anglers are having some tough, tough days. The lower stretches below Gray Reef closer to Casper are fishing a little better using San Juan worms, pheasant tails and black midges.
Water flow out of Gray Reef Dam is 550 cfs.
