CHEYENNE - The state Tourism Board has given the green light to Wyoming's first film incentive applicants.

The board in late June approved applications from five projects that have either already filmed or are considering filming in Wyoming.

Incentive payments are contingent on the producers submitting documentation to account for their spending in the state.

Four of the projects are largely complete. They include a two ski documentaries, a documentary about the new Jackson Hole Aerial Tram and a public television series about wildlife.

State film manager Michell Howard says the fifth project is a full-length Western comedy. The producers of the film are still in the planning stages.

The film incentive offers reimbursements of up to 15 percent for money spent in Wyoming.
