JACKSON - Water use, wildlife migration corridors and routes for new power lines will be among the planned topics of discussion when the Western Governors Association holds its annual meeting in Jackson Hole in late June and early July.
Former NBC anchorman Tom Brokaw is slated to open the meeting on June 29.
The association currently is chaired by Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal (FREE'-den-thawl). The governor heading the association decides where the annual meeting takes place, and so far no Western governor has decided to hold the annual meeting outside his or her home state.
The Western Governors Association is made up of the chief executives of 19 states and three Pacific island territories.
