The interview was shorter than expected, and so was the search.
But Wyoming and Bob Cole apparently didn't need much time to find a perfect fit.
The former Florida A&M offensive coordinator told the Star-Tribune that he will fill the same role for the Cowboys, taking the job previously held by Bill Cockhill.
Cole will bring his version of the double-cadence, spread offense to Laramie to help bolster an anemic attack that heavily contributed to UW's disappointing 5-7 season.
Cole arrived in Laramie on Saturday instead of Friday because of winter weather. But even though the weather cut his time short with UW coach Joe Glenn, both sides were familiar enough with the other to reach a deal that was being finalized this afternoon.
"I had a great time," Cole said. "I don't think I could have gone anywhere else in the country and known this many people on the staff."
