LAS VEGAS - The conference isn't sure what to make of Wyoming yet, either.
The Cowboys checked in right in the middle of the Mountain West Conference preseason poll released Monday morning, separating the top-four contenders from the rest of the pack and earning 156 points for an anticipated fifth-place finish.
Two-time defending champ BYU earned 29 of the 34 first-place votes and is tabbed to earn yet another title according to the league media at the annual event in Sin City.
The all-conference teams were also dominated by the Cougars, but UW did pick up three spots.
End John Fletcher and linebacker Ward Dobbs each were honored defensively, and running back Devin Moore was selected as returner.
