The Natrona County School District is hosting a press conference Friday morning regarding the search for a new superintendent.
The press conference will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the board room at the district's Central Services Facility, 970 N. Glenn Road, in Casper.
The district has two finalists for the position: Joel Dvorak, who serves as the Natrona County School District's associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction. Dvorak, 49, has been an educator for 29 years and has been with the school district since 2002.
The second finalist is Larry Parsons, superintendent for the Selah School District in Selah, Washington. Parsons, 57, once taught in Clearmont and has spent 36 years as an educator.
The candidates are vying to replace Superintendent Jim Lowham, who is retiring at the end of the school year after three decades in the district. He has been superintendent since 2002.
