LARAMIE - The Albany County Public Library can no longer afford to stay open seven days a week.
Starting in September, the library will be closed on Mondays and meeting rooms will also be unavailable.
County Librarian Susan Simpson says the library hopes to save money on staff and also by keeping the lights off and the heating system turned down one day a week.
Much of the library's programming and materials are funded by grants, but operating costs are not.
