Man gets prison for robbery
A judge Wednesday sentenced a Casper man to six to 10 years in prison for robbing an Evansville convenience store in June.
Natrona County District Judge David Park also recommended Christopher Meeks for a drug abuse treatment program at the prison.
Meeks, 22, pleaded guilty in November to aggravated robbery and conspiracy. He held up the Curtis Street Loaf 'N Jug on June 19, making off with about $200.
Officers arrested Meek and teenager Andy Jacob Jolley the next day at a Casper home. A judge sentenced Jolley to six to eight years in prison, but he also recommended Jolley for the state's boot camp program.
Inmates who successfully complete boot camp can ask the court to reduce their sentences.

At the same time, prosecutors dismissed a charge of receiving and concealing stolen property against David Hammond.
A sentencing date for Hammond, 20, has not been scheduled. He remains held at Natrona County Detention Center.
