A Casper man admitted Thursday to being the getaway driver for three armed robberies of convenience stores in the city last October.
Skylor Eberhardt, 20, also admitted to standing guard with a BB gun while two other men tried to rob a pawn shop in November. Those men, 21-year-old Aren Cobia and 19-year-old Kasey Miller, have already pleaded guilty to felony charges in connection to the string of robberies last fall.
In November, police arrested all three men in connection with an armed robbery in Laramie. Investigators were later able to tie them to the Casper robberies.
Eberhardt pleaded guilty Thursday in Natrona County District Court to three counts of aggravated robbery, one count of attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. In exchange for those guilty pleas, prosecutors dismissed two other charges and agreed that Eberhardt would serve his punishment for all of the counts at the same time.
Aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary each carry prison sentences of between five and 25 years.
He will also be allowed to serve his sentence concurrently with whatever sentence he receives in Albany County in connection with the Laramie armed robbery. He is due to be sentenced in the Albany County case later this month.
During Thursday's court hearing, Eberhardt described for Judge Scott Skavdahl his role in last fall's burglaries and robberies. Eberhardt said he and Miller broke into the Depend-A-Pawn shop in September and stole weapons. The next month, he served as the driver for three convenience store robberies.
Finally, in November the three men attempted to rob the United Pawn shop. Eberhardt said he was responsible for watching the back door and had armed himself with a BB gun.
A pawn shop employee told police that men wearing black ski masks and armed with handguns came into the store and ordered him to put his hands up against the wall. However, the men left when they heard the shop's owner had activated an alarm.
Eberhardt remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bond.
