The city of Casper and Natrona County announced their offices will be closed today to observe the Fourth of July holiday.

Emergency services will be available.

The city's sanitation trucks will collect trash as usual today. Residents on the Friday route are reminded to have their trash containers to the curb by 7 a.m.. The balefill will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Because of the greater amounts of trash produced during holidays, the city's solid waste division manager reminds people to bag their trash and not overfill their garbage containers. People may place items next to the container on extra garbage day, or use the free water bill pass and taking the times to the landfill.

City and county offices also will be closed Tuesday morning for Parade Day, and will open in the afternoon.

Likewise, the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, 475 S. Spruce St., will be closed today.

Essential emergency services - fire rehabilitation and medical reserve corps - will be accessible through the weekend. Staff members from the Environmental Health Division will conduct temporary food vendor inspections, and a division director will be on-call to respond to public health emergencies.

The health department office will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday.

But it will close again all day Tuesday for Parade Day and the other community events related to the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo.

The health department will reopen for business at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
