Hey, Answer Girl -

I grew up in Casper and during the 1980s, every morning on KTWO radio, they used to play a crazy song which featured a rooster crowing. The words were something like this:

Good morning, good morning, good morning, it's time to rise and shine.

Good morning, good morning, good morning, I hope you're feeling fine.

Time to get up, get out of bed, time to get up you sleepyhead.

Doo-DOO, doo-DOO, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-DOOOOOO.

My father used to torture me with this song in the morning, and now that I have kids of my own, I would like to similarly torture them! I would most like to find a recording, and who recorded it and what it's called.

Finding a song based on lyrics isn't as easy as it sounds.

But as a child of a somewhat sadistic mother myself, I did some extensive research to help you on your quest to annoy your children daily as payback for what your parents did to you.

The song you're looking for was once played on KTWO radio by then-radio personality Bob Price. Now the station's general manager, Price remembers well the days of playing the annoying - or enjoyable? Depends on who you are - "Good Morning" song each day.

And while Price couldn't find his original copy of the song, he did remember that the song was from a Christian children's show in the early 1980s. An Internet search came up with a Christian children's CD called "Bullfrogs and Butterflies: God is My Friend," the first of a four-part series.

And sure enough, the song "Good Morning" is number two on the disc. Luckily for you, you can go to www.agapelandmusic.com/bullfrogs_and_butterflies_CD.html and listen to a 15-second snippet of the song (which is pretty much the first verse and definitely all you need for full annoyance factor).

That alone will likely take care of sufficiently torturing your children. Congratulations on being the adult this time around.
