Firefighters examine the remains of a home that burned down Wednesday evening in a rural area near the Meadow Acres Greenhouse off of the Old Glenrock Highway.

Crews responding to the fire found the home fully engulfed, said Natrona County Fire Inspector Mike Lindahl. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.

The fire, which was reported by a neighbor, also burned nearby cottonwood trees and a barn, although crews managed to save that structure.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
