Bettie J. Streeper, 84, passed away on May 22, 2009 at her home in Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Streeper was born on July 25, 1924 in Glenrock, Wyo. to Robert and Hazel Battelle. She graduated from NCHS in 1943. During the war she worked as a model in Denver, Colorado. In 1947 she married John S. Streeper and returned to Casper to start a family.

Nellie “Ruth” Miller, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior having died peacefully in her home with family members present on Tuesday July 7, 2009. Ruth was baptized as a young child into the Evangelical Church. She had battled cancer for several years.

Michael Laurence Slaymaker was born December 18, 1972 in Casper, WY to Laurence “Larry” and Sandra Slaymaker. Michael age 36, died June 27, 2009 in Chadron, NE of natural causes. Michael attended school in Casper, NE and graduated in 1992 in Louisville, KY. On January 25, 1997 he was blessed with his beautiful daughter Ashley Nicole Slaymaker. In January 2006 Michael married the love of his life Dana’ JoAn Snyder. On the day of their wedding he was blessed with his step daughter Chantel Snyder and shortly after a beautiful little boy Brock Michael. During his life he developed a love of cooking and became an amazing chef. Cooking in many restaurants all over the USA. Following his dream Mike was able to open a Fajita Cantina in Casper, WY, and Bordo’s Smokehouse in Chardon NE. He and Dana’ decided to leave Casper and move to Chadron in 2008 to raise their children in a small hometown environment. Mike was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and friend. He was generous with his heart and always was willing to help everyone. His main goal in life was to take care of his family.

MARIE INEZ LOVRIEN, 92, of Ellsworth, MN, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. Marie was born March 1, 1917 on the Kellen family farm east of Adrian, MN to Nick and Anna (Sudbeck) Kellen. She attended school at St. Adrian Catholic School and married Edmund Lovrien on September 12, 1939 at St. Adrian Catholic Church. The couple lived in Ellsworth, MN and operated the family business,
