'Expensive' no longer implies fancy

When I came home from work last night, my wife insisted that we go out for a bite to eat. She told me she wanted to go "somewhere the food is good, even if it's expensive."

So, I took her to the gas station. We got half a tank of regular unleaded and two hot dogs.
