Comedian Jon Stewart was featured on This Week's Sunday Funnies, poking fun at George Stephanopoulos moderating the Democratic debate.
Stuart showed Stephanopoulos declaring the economy to be the No. 1 issue, while failing to bring it up for longer than an hour, after the candidates had responded to 16 other questions (questions about political polls and campaign tactics, non-issues that I'm sick of hearing about).
The irony is that while This Week aired the comedy sketch exposing the scarcity of issues in the debate, they also ignored the No. 1 issue, as did Tim Russert on Meet the Press.
While the candidates and the news pundits can make jokes about the economy, they can't seriously debate it without showing their ignorance. The experts once again demonstrate that the king has no clothes, experts have no expertise and there's no news in the news.
