When the 2008 campaign cycle started, I was like many Republicans, disappointed that there were not more options in the candidate field. Then I had an opportunity to meet Mark Gordon. I hammered him on hard issues and he gave me honest responses.

He listened to my questions without looking over my shoulder for the next person to talk to. Mark had a fresh attitude, not jaded by Washington or politics but enhanced by life experience as a businessman, a rancher, a husband, and a father.

Since then, I have watched him give the same consideration to other voters. He's candid. Mark doesn't tell people what they want to hear, yet brings a much needed civility to the political process. At events, he and his staff are the first there and the last to leave, even rolling up their sleeves and helping with the clean-up.

Having gotten to know him better, I can say as a Republican, this is a man who will go to bat for Wyoming. He will look out for our interests and won't run from a fight. Mark will show up early, stay late and give issues the same thoughtful consideration he gives every person that has spoken to him.

Finally, I am supporting Mark Gordon because Wyoming needs to send a businessman to Washington who has created jobs and met a payroll.

He won't budge on our Second Amendment rights and he knows the importance of the energy industry to Wyoming. We can be sure he will uphold the letter of the law.

Wyoming needs a congressman who will show up, be tough, and have the discipline of a successful businessman. If he's in your area, take time to meet him. You'll find that Mark Gordon is the best option for Wyoming.
