Editor:

Our state Legislature had an opportunity to give property owners a tax break and they did not act.

Our taxes went up $300 in 2007 and $400 in 2008.

The Legislature claimed they had a low-income program to provide help, and it had not been utilized.

Now, is the time to give middle class, and all home owners, a break on taxes on their homes, and make it retroactive to 2007.

We demand, a change from a Legislature that took eight years to take the tax off groceries.

Help give people some financial relief, now. It's our money and we want it now!

Think outside the box.
