I would like to say to the woman with short dark hair who was driving a white suburban with a blue stripe on it that ran over and killed a beautiful puppy this morning (Thursday, Oct. 9) that I feel she should take responsibility and at least contact the owners and apologize.

Yes, the dogs had gotten out of their fenced yard, but there were witnesses to the fact that she had plenty of time to stop, but rather chose to deliberately run her down.

According to Metro, because the dogs had gotten out, there can be no legal action taken against her, except a slap on the wrist for not reporting it.

It is, however, her moral responsibility to own up to her actions. That was a life that was unnecessarily taken, and if she has any sense of human compassion she would want to make this right.
