"The American people have spoken and they have spoken clearly." Regardless of which side your vote was on this statement by Sen. John McCain is true. The election is over and several of the talk show hosts (even in our town) should realize this and although being cute and clever may keep the choir singing it doesn't help solve my countries deepening problems.

While I may not agree with all of his policies I am behind President-elect Barack Obama as my future president to make my country great again. I don't want to hear about Bill Ayers, the Rev. Wright, Trooper Gate or Sarah Palin's wardrobe anymore. We have the people's business at hand.

Several paths can be taken but the end result must be nothing but greatness. I am a conservative but President George W. Bush's brand of republicanism lost me. I read Obama's acceptance speech and found this. "There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as president, and we know that government can't solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it's been done in America for 221 years - block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand."

So how about taking him up on his offer and study every executive order, decision or policy and every piece of legislation being considered by the House or Senate. We have only three elected officials and it won't take that much to let them know our opinion and ask for theirs.

The president and other elected officials in other states are not immune from our opinions and questions and in fact it might do them good to ask where in the hell is Wyoming once in a while. And don't you think it's time that all of our elected officials are reminded they work for us - we the people.
