Editor:
I, like some, watched the horse racing on ABC and saw what had happened. I can't believe, though, how many are jumping on the band wagon and saying all kinds of things. Pointing fingers as to whose fault it was, etc.
Were they on the horse's back? Did they feel him talking to the rider through the reins? Can we go back and relive it to find the answer?
What do we do when we are in sports when our shoes become untied and are loose? Do we as humans know what it is like to have four legs then all of a sudden you have only two good feet, your right front and left hind leg. You have a crack on the left front and a loose shoe on the right hind leg.
What would had happened if the jockey went on and forced this horse to run and broke him down. Then what? I think we should be grateful that we didn't have to sit and watch another horse lose its life.
