Cynthia Lummis is the only candidate running for Wyoming's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives who has had any political experience. At the age of 24, Cynthia was the youngest woman in Wyoming ever elected to the state Legislature.
She dedicated herself to 14 years in both the Wyoming House and Senate, and then served two terms as state treasurer. During the years, Lummis missed only five votes out of 6,000, a 99 percent voting record.
The problem with the other Republican candidates is that we in Wyoming have no idea how they will approach Congress, simply because they have never done it. How do we expect a person who has never written a bill or been in a legislative session to "hit the ground running" in Washington?
And now, more than ever, elected officials must hit the ground running. The economy, energy, and the war are too important to have someone without experience making those decisions for Wyoming. Cynthia Lummis has the experience.
Republicans in Wyoming must come together on Aug. 19th and choose the best candidate to represent us in the general election. Wyoming's seat in the U.S. House needs a person who has legislative experience. That experience is found only in Cynthia Lummis.
