What in the world is going on?

This letter won't make any difference, but in regards to the price of gas, it is so high that people who work any distance from where they live won't be able to get to work. You have to stop at every light because they are not in sync. Poor people and retired people can't hardly afford to drive to the doctor's office.

Everything is rising except wages, Social Security and retirement benefits. If and when you get a raise, it's 1 percent or 2 percent, and everything else is 15 percent to 17 percent.

It seems our great country could put a stop to the high gas prices. Why hasn't our government done anything to make the oil companies stop raising prices?

Soon we will hear and see our people starving and dying because of all the high prices.

Wake up, people.
