Isn't it interesting that there were 13 letters in two days' papers (Aug. 26 and Aug. 30) - all 13 written regarding Cynthia Lummis' one remark about Trauner's being raised in New York! Did these 13 neglect reading the front-page article, "Lummis Regrets Choice of Words," Aug. 26? She was clearly explaining her specific meaning and not the exaggerated meaning these letter writers purport.

In that same article Gary Trauner said, "that's what people talk about when they don't have anything else to say." Yet that is exactly what these 13 letter writers have done - magnified this one remark!

Then Gary says, "Let's concentrate on the nation's pressing issues of economic crisis and energy issues." Let's do.

Gary and his friends by this time may have seen Cynthia was honored with an invitation of speaking at the National Republican Convention, which fell through with the approach of Hurricane Gustav.

And what about:

1. Her serving 14 years in the Wyoming House and Senate, concentrating on natural resource and tax issues.

2. Two years serving as state treasurer, converting Wyoming's investment portfolio into diversified portfolio to Wyoming's benefit, which has garnered her the endorsement of Wyoming legislators as well as invitations to other states for information on how this can be done. (Who wouldn't agree that we need this kind of money expertise in Washington?)

3. Named Wyoming Small Business Advocate of the Year.

4. In 2007 she served on the Subcommittee on Royalty Management to complete audition of the Department of Interior Federal Mineral royalty functions.

5. Presenting the American point of view at Wealth Management Conferences around the world.

6. Volunteering in numerous charitable efforts including: Wyoming Stock Growers Association, Wyoming Business Alliance, Center for Rocky Mountain Advisory Board, University of Wyoming Ruckelshaus Institution for Environment and Natural Resources, Cheyenne Frontier Days Board of directors, Wyoming Women's History House in Laramie, Cheyenne Vision 2020 Process, and the Leadership Wyoming Board.

Now, let's hear about Gary's experience instead of launching negatively on one tiny statement his opponent made, and disregarding experience and issues at hand as he would like his constituents to do!
