I am writing you about a dangerous situation at Washington Ball Park. My daughter was with friends about three weeks ago and got injured in the rest room.

She was taken to the emergency room because her knee was cut open almost to the bone by the toilet paper roll holder. I called the city to tell them about the danger and they referred me to the Casper youth baseball office (with the wrong number) and in turn they put me off to the city.

I called a lawyer and he would not take the case because her injury was not bad enough. She only received 12 stitches and could not go swimming or finish out playing softball, not to mention the pain of stitches, X-rays, tetanus shot and the hurt of not being able to do what she had planned for awhile.

It isn't that we wanted money but to fix the situation. One and a half weeks later we visited that very same rest room, and lo and behold, there was still part of her knee on the paper roll holder.

This was in the middle of a tournament. Very sanitary. Something needs to be done. What if this would have been a small child and he/she would have hit his head or eye? Just think of it as if it was your child.

SUZANNE PASCHAL, Casper
