A few months ago I wrote a letter to this newspaper stating many reasons why I thought that Casper City Manager Thomas Forslund needed to be fired.

For those residents who do not follow the issues to give an opinion regarding Mr. Forslund, here is another reason to get rid of him.

Mr. Forslund promoted those "traffic slowing barricades" on 12th and 13th streets a few years ago. If you thought that they were a good idea, you most likely support Mr. Forslund.

If, however, you thought they were ridiculous and made an unsafe condition even worse, then you most likely feel that Mr. Forslund needs to go!

Those candidates running for seats on the Casper City Council should state directly if they would vote "yes" or "no" on a resolution to fire Mr. Forslund as city manager so that the voters can make an informed decision.

Casper City Council members Ms. Whalen and Mr. Fagan are quitting. I hope that Mr. Forslund follows their examples and quits.
