One killed in Cody crash

A person died in a one-vehicle crash north of Cody on Sunday, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol dispatcher.

The accident occurred at mile marker 111 on Wyoming Highway 120, and was reported at 11:59 a.m. Sunday, the dispatcher said.

No other details were available about the cause of the accident or the victim, she said.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol also reported an accident with an injury Saturday night outside Casper, the dispatcher said.

A semi tractor-trailer collided with a pickup at mile marker 110 on Wyoming Highway 220 southwest of Casper, she said.

No other information was available, including the circumstances about the accident or the victim's injuries, the dispatcher said.

Elsewhere in the state, the Wyoming Department of Transportation on Sunday afternoon reported the closure of Interstate 80 eastbound from the Laramie and Happy Jack Summit interchange and from the interchange to the Albany-Laramie county line, and from the county line to the Harriman Exit 342.

WYDOT also reported the closure of U.S. Highway 85 north of Newcastle to the South Dakota border, and the closure of U.S. Highway 191 south of Rock Springs to the Utah border.

WYDOT issued no unnecessary travel advisories on Wyoming Highway 487 north to Wyoming Highway 77, and in the South Pass area.

Black ice advisories were issued for the Jackson-Teton Pass, and for U.S. Highway 191 between Pinedale and Wyoming Highway 351, according to WYDOT's Web site at www.wyoroad.info.
