* Dec. 9, 10 a.m., Fall commencement ceremonies, College of Business, will be held in the A & S auditorium; the College of Health Sciences will hold its program in the UW Fine Arts Center concert hall; and the College of Education will hold its program in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

* Dec. 15, 5 p.m., the Air Force and Army ROTC will hold commissioning ceremonies at the Fine Arts Center concert hall.

Cheyenne Depot Museum events

* Dec. 9 from 10 a.m.-noon, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Cheyenne Depot, 121 W. 15th St. The event is free and open to the public. We encourage all to bring their cameras. Info: (307) 632-3905.

* Dec. 9, 1 p.m., Story Time at the Depot will be held in the lobby of the Depot, 121 W. 15th St. Peggy Sundberg will be reading and hosting a book signing of her children's books. Sundberg's books are recommended nationally by parents, educators and counselors. Info: (307) 632-3905.

Freudenthals host home tour

* Dec. 9, 13, and 16, Governor Dave and First Lady Nancy Freudenthal invite the public to a holiday open house at the governor's residence, 5001 Central Ave., in Cheyenne. The Dec. 9 tour will be from 3-5 p.m.; Dec. 13 tour will be from 5-7 p.m.; and Dec. 16 tour will be from 3-5 p.m. Hot chocolate and seasonal treats will be provided. Info: (307) 777-7398.

Christmas on the Frontier

* Dec. 10, Fort Laramie National Historic Site will host a lighting of the historic buildings followed by an evening open house from 4-8 p.m. and the annual Fort Laramie Historical Association bookstore sale. The buildings will remain lit through Dec. 17. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided in the visitor center. All events are free to the public. Meet & greet with legislators

* Dec. 14, from 6-8:30 p.m., AARP Wyoming and its Riverton Community Advocacy Team invite all Fremont County residents to Riverton's City Hall to meet the legislators who will represent them at the State Capitol. Senators and representatives will talk about their plans for the 2007 Wyoming General Legislative Session and answer questions. Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

* The Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra presents its 2006-07 season entitled, "A World of Color," celebrating the brilliant colors that great composers use in creating masterpieces. Season tickets are available for $35. Ask about discounts and flex packages. There will also be a preconcert lecture before each performance by Maestro Stephen Alltop at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center auditorium. Info: (307) 778-8561. Lander Community Concert Association

* The 60th Anniversary Season of the Lander Community Concert Association continues with concerts being held in the Lander Valley High School auditorium, each beginning at 7 p.m. Season subscription tickets are $40 for adults, $15 for students (age 21 and under), and $90 for a family (two adults and affiliated students 21 and under). * Feb. 20, 2007, piano concert by Alex Moutouzkine, winner of first prize in the St. Petersburg International Piano competition at age 14.

Panic Relief Inc.

* A panic and anxiety group is now forming in Newcastle, featuring programs every Monday from noon-1 p.m. and every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The program is geared to help anyone suffering from panic, anxiety, and agoraphobia to cope with these disorders. Info: (732) 940-9658.

Stammtisch

* A lunchtime group for German speakers or learners meets the first and third Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Cheyenne. Info: (307) 771-8706.

Women in Black

* First Wednesday of each month, from noon-1 p.m., meet in front of the courthouse on Center and B Streets. All who share a concern for a just and peaceful world are invited to join this silent vigil. If you come please dress in black, stand in silence (no marching, banners, or confrontations), stay on the sidewalk, don't block walkers or cars, and respond to questions.

Parent-education seminars

* The Wyoming Children's Access Network provides parent-education seminars for divorcing, separated and never-married parents. The seminar is provided monthly in Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, Sheridan and Torrington and provides information about the impact of parental conflict on children and teaches the parents skills to help with the difficult transition. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other adults close to the children are welcome to attend as well.There is a nominal fee for the seminar that may be waived upon request, based on need. Art exhibition opens in Ucross

* The Deborah Ford photography exhibition, "Common Ground/Symbiotic Equivalence," will be on display through Dec. 15 at the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery, 30 Big Red Lane. The exhibit presents 38 framed images of land and life-forms that Ford photographed in Wyoming, Arizona, Minnesota and Oregon. UW art exhibition

* The University of Wyoming Art Museum, in the Centennial Complex at 22nd and Willett Dr., will display paintings from the exhibition, "The Taos Society of Artists, 1915-1927," through Dec. 22. The Taos Society is a group of 12 artists that paint the land and the people of northern New Mexico. Big Horn museum hosts exhibition

* The Bradford Brinton Memorial & Museum's 16th Annual Holiday Show presents the one-person show entitled, "Bridger Konkel - A Year Afield," which will run through Dec. 23. The show is comprised of 58 oil paintings by 21 year-old Bridger Konkel, the youngest artist ever to be granted a one-person show at the museum. "A Woman's Place" exhibit
