CHEYENNE - Most Wyoming people believe diversifying the state's economy away from heavy dependence on energy is a good thing.
Both candidates for governor, Democratic incumbent Dave Freudenthal and Republican challenger Ray Hunkins, think so, too, but they part company on the path to get there.
Freudenthal believes the key is to create a business climate in communities that non-energy industries will find attractive.
Hunkins prefers a more traditional approach: an aggressive out-of-state recruitment effort.
