CASPER-A Rosary will be recited Friday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. for Richard Edward Dehler, 83, of Casper followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father August Koeune.
Inurnment will follow in Wyoming Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing at the family's request.
He died Sept. 11, 2008 at Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born April 2, 1925 in Buckman, Minn. to August B. and Regina Dehler, the sixth of eight children.
He was educated in the Buckman school system and later worked on the family farm and various jobs in Minnesota. He moved to Casper in 1965 and in 1967 he was employed by Petrotomics at Shirley Basin, as well as four years at Pathfinder, returning again to Petrotomics in 1976 where he remained employed as an Ore Control Specialist until Petrotomics was sold to Texaco and shut down in 1985.
He then went into retirement. In 1968 he married June Trujillo and resided in Casper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife, June, and brother Ralph Dehler of Portland, Ore.
