Bettie J. Streeper, 84, passed away on May 22, 2009 at her home in Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Streeper was born on July 25, 1924 in Glenrock, Wyo. to Robert and Hazel Battelle. She graduated from NCHS in 1943. During the war she worked as a model in Denver, Colorado. In 1947 she married John S. Streeper and returned to Casper to start a family.

She worked for Teno Roncalio for many years and was active in Wyoming politics during the 1970's. She enjoyed restoring antiques, playing golf and beating her son at Gin Rummy.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Battelle of Fernley, Nevada; sisters, Roberta Pierce and Patricia

Anderson of California; son, Steven Streeper of Reno, Nevada and grandson, John Michael Streeper of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
