Frances Antonovich was born on October 28, 1927 in Duba, Yugoslavia. She was raised in her village of Duba. She married Joseph Antonovich on September 5, 1953 in the Chapel of St. Anthony's in Duba. She then immigrated to the United States with her new husband and began her new life in Casper on December 24, 1953. She did not know the English Language and her sweet sister-in-law and neighbor took her under their wing to teach her the language and help her prepare for the citizenship test. She was very proud to become an American citizen and thought of America as her home.
She gave birth to two children, Anne and John. She was very active at her Catholic Church and community. She was a seamstress for 30 years and enjoyed sewing for many people in Casper until arthritis took too big a toll on her health and she just had to stop. Later in life when she could no longer sew, she kept her hands busy with crocheting. Many people have her doilies as well as clothes that she has sewn here in Casper.
She was known as a kind woman, always thinking of others, was very devout in her faith, and prayed much for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, her children Anne Norris and John (Maria) Antonovich, her seven grandchildren Andrea, Sean Norris, Renae (Travis) White, Stevie (Nick) McNamee, Toni, Cari, and Joseph Antonovich, two great grandsons Austin McNamee and Thomas White all of Casper.
She will truly be missed.
