DREW SLIKKER, Sheridan: The senior kicked missed field goal tries of 55 and 51 yards and and extra point, but none of that mattered when his 28-yard attempt with nine seconds left sailed through the uprights to give the Broncs a 9-7 win.

By the Numbers

-13: Rushing yards by Gillette. The Indians held the Camels to 103 total offensive yards and forced three turnovers.

Notes

Sheridan will make its first state title game appearance since 1997.

Player of the Week

PIERRE ETCHEMENDY, Douglas: The senior running back totaled 238 yards of offense and three TDs in the Bearcats thumping of Worland. He also added 21 defensive points, as Douglas aims to repeat as state champions.

By the Numbers

0: Meetings between Douglas and Cody. The 3A title game will be the first meeting between the two schools.

Notes

Cody will make its first title game appearance since 1991.

Player of the Week

MITCH SYVERSON, Thermopolis: The junior quarterback threw four TDs -- three in the first half -- as the Bobcats upset Kemmerer to advance to the state title game. Behind Syverson, the Bobcats jumped out an early 19-0 lead and never trailed.

By the Numbers

6: Margin of victory for Glenrock in its regular-season game win over Thermopolis, the smallest of the year for the Herders.

TANNER MAY, Southeast: The senior tailback had three long TD runs and ran for 228 yards in the Cyclones win. After a third quarter fumble return for a TD gave Southeast a 28-12 lead, May's 74-yard TD scamper broke the game open.

By the Numbers

25: Unanswered points scored by Lingle, after Cokeville took 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Notes

Lingle will play in only its third title game and first since 1990.
