The Mustangs used a man-to-man defense to take Senior (6-5) out of its rhythm in the first half and led 31-16 at halftime, but in the second half the Broncs managed to stay with NC, Mustangs coach Randy Roden said.
"They did some things to get us out of rhythm (in the second half)," he said.
Earl was 8-of-11 from the field and Dietz was 5-of-12 from the field and 9-of-13 from the foul line. Dietz also had seven rebounds and four assists, and Mario Harris added seven assists.
Senior was led by A.J. Paine's 13 points.
