  2. Tom Stroock

    Tom Stroock came to Wyoming in 1948 after graduating from Yale University and 3 1/2 years of World War II service in the United States Marines. He and his wife, Marta, were married in 1949, and have four daughters and eight grandchildren. Stroock worked as a roughneck on a drilling rig before starting an oil and gas properties firm, The Stroock Leasing Corporation, and Alpha Exploration Inc., oil producers, in 1952. Stroock began a storied political career winning election to the Natrona County school board. He was elected state senator from Natrona County for five separate terms. Tom and Marta started the Stroock Forum on Wyoming Lands and People in 1996. He served 3-1/2 years for George H.W. Bush as the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Guatemala.

    Berton Toews, M.D. is the owner and medical director of Wyoming Recovery, and a Fellow in the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Toews, who has practiced medicine in Casper for over 20 years, is a licensed addiction therapist, certified medical review officer and a board-certified family physician. Dr. Toews is a regular contributor to KCWY 13's news segment, "Focus on Addiction."
