  3. Pastor Gary Hans

Pastor Gary Hans is a Casper native, along with his wife of 30 years, Pam. They have two sons, Michael and Mathew. Michael and his wife, Samantha, have two children, Payton and Lucus. They all still live in Casper. He has served as pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church since February 2000, being called and ordained into the Lord's ministry on March 7, 1999. While serving at Mountain View Baptist Church in Mills, Hans remembers wondering where the Lord would send him next. How far away from family and friends would he end up? God knew his heart was in Wyoming, and for Wyoming people. So He sent Hans to Sunrise Baptist Church, only seven miles away. While some may call the church small, Hans says it is a small army for the Lord — serving people in the local community and also sending missionaries to help in foreign countries. Of all the places God could have sent him, He chose to leave Hans where his heart is also, in Casper.
