  8. Linda Burt

    Linda Burt was born in Denver, Colorado. She came to Superior, Wyoming in the 1970s and settled in Cheyenne in 1983. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming Law School, and has been Executive Director of the Wyoming Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union since March 2000.

  9. Frank Shamrock

    Frank Shamrock is a mixed-martial arts fighter based out of San Jose, Calif. He is considered by many to be the prototype of modern mixed-martial arts and has earned the nickname, "The Legend," for his toughness and wins over some of the best fighters of his generation: Sebastion "Bas" Rutten, Tito Ortiz and Phil Baroni included.

  10. Col. Rita Meyer

    Maj. Richard Fillman accepts his Squadron Command Flag from Col. Rita Meyer at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. Rita Meyer was elected in November 2006 to serve as Wyoming's 19th state auditor.She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with degrees in education and finance. She also holds an MBA in international business from Regis University in Denver, and a master's in national resource strategy from the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. Ritaserved her state and the nation for more than 23 years as an enlisted airman and officer in the Wyoming Air National Guard.She is married to Dr.Charles Meyer, a retired dentist and native of Rawlins. They have one son, Charles, a Navy lieutenant, and a daughter-in-law, Emily, an export control attorney in Arlington, Va.

  11. Rodney Kinskey

    Rodney Kinskey brought convenience stores to Wyoming. He built his chain of Mini-Marts to more than 116 locations in six states before selling the business in 1989. He and his wife Jeanne raised nine children and have 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rodney is featured here with his son James' (Boo) family: left to right, Kim,Audrey, Rodney, Henry and James.

  12. Kenyne Schlager

    Kenyne Schlager is the Mayor of the city of Casper and is employed at Casper College as a Workforce Training Specialist.

    Frank Shamrock is a mixed-martial arts fighter based out of San Jose, Calif.   14. Audrey Cotherman

    Audrey Cotherman has been executive director of the Wyoming Council for the Humanities, the United Way and the Six State Professional Development Center at the University of Wisconsin. She was also deputy state superintendent of public instruction for Wyoming for 12 years, a university administrator, a PTA president and a den mother. She has three sons and a daughter, six grandchildren and a great grandson.

  15. Helen Wolff

    Helen Facinelli Wolff is a retired educator who taught for 28 years at East Junior High. When the school was demolished in 2004, she received 28 of the school's bricks as a gift from former students. The Words of Wisdom offered here were taught to her as a child by her Italian father.

  16. Linda Burt
