  1. Savin' Souls the Cowboy Way

Worshipers gather inside and outside of a tent to listen to pastor Corey Ross lead 'cowboy church' after the Wednesday night performance of the 2009 College National Finals Rodeo in the parking lot of the Casper Events Center. Ross, who runs the 'Cowboy Ministries Outreach', has led cowboy church at the CNFR for 11-years. Ross, a former rodeo cowboy who made CNFR in 1989, enjoys preaching to cowboys. We preach to people who, like us, kind of understand each other. See trib.com for a video feature on Ross and his cowboy church, along with other videos from CNFR week. (Dan Cepeda/Star-Tribune)

  3. Road cycling is good for the legs, the lungs and the soul

Cyclists take a breather during last year's Ride With The Winds Bike Tour. Rest stops give riders a chance to chat with other cyclists, rehydrate and reenergize with fruit, cookies and sandwiches. Riders can push as fast, or slow, as they wish and all levels are welcome. Contributed photo.

  7. Soul-searching debates on the French identity

FILE - In this Oct.21 2009 file French Immigration Minister Eric Besson leaves the Elysee Palace after the weekly cabinet meeting. Besson formally launched the national soul-searching, dubbed the Great Debate, on Nov. 2 with a Web site where citizens are contributing their thoughts on what it means to be French. Talking points for the debates include French history, culture, religion or language. Ultimately, they are meant to address a handful of proposals such as the meaning of national symbols like the flag or whether youths should be obliged to sing the national anthem at least once a year, and how to share values with immigrant citizens (AP Photo/Christophe Ena, File)
