Risa Petrie and her husband Mark recently celebrated 25 years of marriage. They have three children, Kyle (22), Kayla (19) and Drew (12). Risa graduated from Rock Springs High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from College of the Southwest in Hobbs, N.M. Risa and Mark were thrilled to return to Wyoming in 1991, after moving several times with Conoco. For the past 11 years, Risa has been the director of development at the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission.
"Working at the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission, I have learned to look not at the person standing before me, but rather at the potential each one has to live a positive and productive life.
We are all clay, waiting to be molded by our Maker - with the right people around us and the opportunity to overcome our problems, we all can become exactly the person God meant for us to be."
