buy this photo <p><i>Neil Short, who at age 60 trained for the Atacama Crossing, a 155-mile footrace across the desert in Chile. He competed in the race in April and made it through four of the seven stages before doctors suggested he drop out after contracting an infection.</i>

"We know that in life, health problems are going to come. But what does it mean to resist it and fight it? I want to take a look at that. Aging, depending on who you talk to, it's almost spoken of as a disability. I don't think it has to be that way."
